WTF? Nickelback To Cover Slayer? Seriously?

Double WTF, as if people didn’t hate Nickelback enough already? What is this band thinking?

We guess Nickelback are bored with singing about photographs and shit, and are reportedly kicking around the WTF idea of releasing a Slayer cover album, that’s much, much heavier than what their traditional fan base is used to.

As per Nickelback bassist and co-founder Mike Kroeger stated In a WTF interview with Wall of Sound, “all our band members are “metalheads at our core”.

When asked if nickelback would ever consider making a heavier, faster record, Kroger said: “I would love to. Metal is what makes me go, it’s what I listen to without fail.”

The bassist then went on boasting about the bands heavy metal credentials.

Kroeger also shared a personal love for metal’s ‘Big Four’ – Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. – “We all know everything about the Big Four – “There are just never enough hours in the day to do everything, but let’s just say I wouldn’t count it out.”
