Aimee Osbourne was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery to remove her appendix this past weekend.
Sharon Osbourne spoke out about how her daughter Aimee was rushed to the hospital this weekend and husband Ozzy’s Parkinson’s treatment had to be cancelled as a result.
Sharon Osbourne admitted that she was “crying every day” at the moment because of the situation in the world and closer to home issues in her own family.
Sharing a family update on The View, Sharon Osbourne said: “We’ve been fine. I mean, you know compared to a lot of people, we’re doing just fine.
“But yesterday, Aimee was taken into the hospital. She had an emergency operation to remove her appendix. I mean just the worst time to be in the hospital.
“We had that, she’s fine now, thank God. She’s out of pain, and she’s recuperating.”
Ozzy Osbourne was scheduled to fly to Europe to begin treatment for his Parkinson’s disease on April 8.
Speaking on a video stream from her home, Sharon Osbourne added: “We had to cancel our trip to Switzerland. And we were meant to go the eighth of April, but we had to cancel for his treatment. And we’re just hanging in like everybody else. You know, just trying to stay away, and be quiet, and just, you know, hold it in there.
“But I honestly find this such frightening times. I just think it’s a really, really frightening time to be alive.
“I am not one of those people who is like ‘I am bonding with all these people’. I cry every day when I watch the death toll go up, and more and more people catch this virus, and I’m just you know, devastated by it. For me, I’m like, you know, heartbroken.”
Earlier in the year Mr. ans Mrs. Osbourne had revealed their plans to go to Switzerland. They were booked into a specialist clinic there, where experts work on boosting patients’ immune systems before trying additional treatments.
Kelly Osbourne is urging people to stay at home to help reduce the spread of Covid19 and spoke of her pain at not being able to spend time with her parents.
Kelly said: “I wish there was something I could say to comfort you all, some wisdom I could drop on you to relieve you from the fear that surrounds us all right now.
“The truth is I am scared too. Both of my parents are high risk especially my dad. If I would have known 3 weeks ago when I sent them off to Panama that that was gonna be the last time I got to hug and kiss them for a while… I would have held on a little longer. However these are the sacrifices we must make. I stay home for my mum and dad. If you don’t have anyone to stay home for I beg you.”
