Northdale Florida: Cannibal Corpse Guitarist Pat O’ Brien Arrested
Pat O’ Brien, lead guitarist for Cannibal Corpse, has been arrested for burgling a Florida home and then charging a deputy with a knife.
Several reports allege that Cannibal Corpse guitarist Pat O’Brien, age 53, broke into a home in the Northdale neighborhood while two people were home. One of the occupants told O’Brien to leave, after which the guitarist reportedly pushed the other person down and fled through the backyard.

When deputies arrived on the scene, Pat O’Brien did not respond to their commands and ran toward one of the deputies while wielding a knife, the guitarist was tazed by another deputy. He was then arrested, charged with “Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary Occupied Dwelling with Assault and or Battery,” according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. a Hillsborough County judge set his bond at $50,000.
O’Brien is required to complete a drug test before he’s able to bond out of jail.
Fire officials are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
It was also reported that a house near where O’Brien was arrested, in which the guitarist was a resident, burst into flames Monday night.
When Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene they discovered that live rounds of ammunition and flamethrowers were exploding inside the dwelling.
