Little Genie, as she’s being dubbed, become an overnight social media star after being photographed sticking out her tongue while rocking black markings on her face, similar to “The Demon’s.”
Kerrville, Texas: A newborn calf has strikingly similar black-and-white facial markings to KISS vocalist/bassist Gene Simmons and the rock star likes their shared look.
Gene — whose onstage persona includes face paint, black leather clothing and wild hair — tweeted his admiration for the calf named Genie and said: “This is real, folks!!!”
The female calf was born Friday at a ranch 60 miles northwest of San Antonio.
Heather Taccetta, who lives at the ranch with her family, says the calf belongs to her grandmother and the animal is named after Simmons.
Heather found the calf in a pasture and says the 75-pound farm animal and its mother are doing fine.
Taccetta also says Genie is a real family favorite and will not be sold for slaughter.
Drew Taylor runs a marketing company called Hill Country Visitor, which shared the photo on Facebook. He said that the calf was born on a Kerrville ranch that’s owned by a local steakhouse worker.
“I didn’t realize how uncanny the comparison was until a friend put the two pictures side by side,” he said of Genie’s face next to Gene’s. “I said, ‘Can I have that picture? Can I use it?’”
