Iron Maiden playing at the Rock In Rio 2019 Metal Night festival will be their fourth time topping the bill, their latest Legacy Of The Beast Tour, which is being hailed by fans and media alike as the most extravagant and visually stunning live show of the band’s career to date with a set-list of decades-spanning hits and fan favorites, including some songs not played live for many years.

Now, Megadeth has performed at Rock in Rio II, in 1991, and in the next edition in Brazil, the Americans bring a carioca among its members: the guitar player Kiko Loureiro, ex-Angra, that joined the thrash metal band in 2015. (Carioca is a demonym used to refer to anything related to the City of Rio de Janeiro as well as its eponymous State of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil.)

The invite came from the vocalist Dave Mustaine, who founded Megadeth in 1983. For this edition, Megadeth will perform their Dystopia World Tour, that has already passed through several countries. In its 34 years of activity, Megadeth has been nominated for 12 Grammys and won it in 2017 with the song “Dystopia” in the category of Best Metal Performance, and they promise to bring several hits for the City of Rock like the classic “Symphony of Destruction”
