For the past seven years, Geddy has dedicated himself to studying the history of the instrument that has been so essential to his music career, collecting hundreds of basses from around the world, 250 of which are presented in breathtaking detail with specially commissioned photography by Richard Sibbald.

The 400-page book’s synopsis reads. “Complete with personal commentary from Bassist Geddy Lee that showcases his knowledge both as a musician and an aficionado, this luxuriously produced volume is a revelatory look at the heavy hitters in the world of bass-Fender, Gibson/Epiphone, Rickenbacker, Höfner, Ampeg-and lesser known but influential global luthiers such as Antonio Wandr Pioli, Dan Armstrong, and Tony Zemaitis.”

Geddy Lee will also dedicate a section to tracking the history of the bass guitar and the extensive collection of studio and live gear he has amassed over his stellar 40-year career.

Rush bandmate Alex Lifeson and vintage guitar expert Terry Foster are said to have penned two forwards for the book.
