Ozzy Osbourne has decided to mark the notorious bat biting indecent by launching this horribly adorable detachable head plush toy.

January 20th, 1982: Ozzy, The Prince of Darkness bit the head off a bat during an event at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, Iowa.

It’s quite fitting that Ozzy, one of the Founding Fathers of Heavy Metal,  is selling a plush toy bat. The Ozzman originally thought that a fan had thrown a rubber bat onstage, hence biting the head off without a second thought. It was only later that Osbourne realized it was in fact a real, live bat. The incident made headlines all over the world, and has been associated with the metal legend ever since.

Ozzy Bat Osbourne Speak Devil

Ozzy took to Twitter with the following: “Today marks the 38th Anniversary since I bit a head off a f*cking bat! Celebrate with this commemorative plush with detachable head.”

“Immediately… something felt wrong. Very wrong. For the start, my mouth was instantly full of this warm, gloopy liquid, with the worst aftertaste you could ever imagine. I could feel it staining my teeth and running down my chin. Then the head in my mouth twitched.”

The bat, fighting for its life, managed to bite Osbourne who required treatment against the possibility of contracting rabies.
