In May 1997 German BMG Classic released an album where spanish opera singer Montserrat Caballe was collaborating with different artists from various genres. The involvement of Bruce Dickinson with the record was that he received a phone call from the producer, Mike Moran.
Moran asked Dickinson if he was interested in singing a duet with the famous vocalist. The song written by Freddie Mercury was Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Bruce said that he could at least try.
Mr, Moran was the man who orchestrated the horn section parts for Nicko McBrain’s “Rhythm of the beast”.
Try indeed!
