Listen as Lemmy Kilmister and Dave Lombardo on drums, perform the Ben E. King classic “Stand By Me”.
Lemmy Kilmister, the late great Motörhead frontman & former Slayer, Testament & Suicidal Tendencies drummer Dave Lombardo collaborated back in 2009 to offer their talents for a movie soundtrack. The Flip Skateboards film was titled Extremely Sorry.
The collaboration manifested as a result of the film’s director and star Geoff Rowley both being massive Motörhead fans.
Rowley also starred in the 2010 rockumentary film “Lemmy”.
The skateboarding director was especially fond of “The Head Cat” a rockabilly supergroup formed by Kilmister and the band’s 2006 release “Fools Paradise”.
Fools Paradise was an album comprised entirely of song covers.
Rowley approached Lemmy and asked if he would lend his vocals to “Stand By Me” and he graciously accepted.
