At least now you finally have the answer to the age-old question ‘How awesome would Judas Priest sound with James Brown on vocals?’
Get Up, Get On Up. James Brown meets Judas Priest in another genius mashup by music editor Bill McClintock. Mixing soul vocals and heavy metal rhythms, the track is a real musical masterpiece that makes us wish this collaboration had actually happened in real life. See if you can spot the other audio cameos in the video below.
James Priest – “Electric Sex Machine”

Bill McClintock cleverly combined the iconic James Brown performance of “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine” with live footage of the Judas Priest 1982 song “Electric Eye” to create a truly funky heavy metal mashup. This unlikely combination works and works well, as the songs share a common phrase. As with his other mashups, McClintock rounded out the sound with licks from a few other thrash metal masters.
Bill used audio from the following songs in this clever mashup:
Judas Priest – Electric Eye – 1982 – Screaming For Vengence
James Brown – Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine – 1970 – Released as a two-part single
Metallica – Creeping Death – 1984 – Single from the album Ride The Lightning
Megadeth ⇗ – Tornado of Souls – 1990 – Rust In Peace
Judas Priest – Electric Eye (Official Video)
